YULEE MIDDLE SCHOOL: Our 8th ELA students have been hard at work on their Argumentative Essays for the 4-H speech contest!
Students in the audience used a writing rubric to assess the speeches and provide feedback.

They were tasked with creating a “convincing poster” using their argumentative writing skills.

One of our 7th grade ELA classes went outside today in our new courtyard to enjoy the sun and to read an argumentative essay titled, “Mars Can Wait, Our Oceans Can’t”!

Your 8th student will attend the CTE Showcase on Thursday next week and then on Friday will have the opportunity to shadow you (their parent)!

YULEE MIDDLE SCHOOL: Our 8th graders will be participating in our district's CTE Showcase at YHS!
This will showcase all available CTE courses that students can take while at the high school.

YULEE MIDDLE SCHOOL: PSA for our 8th grade parents/students. On February 15th, 8th grade students will be taking part in a yearly survey through a partnership with the University of Michigan
Students will be coming home soon with their permission slip forms. You only will need to have your student turn the form in, if you do not want them to participate!

YULEE MIDDLE SCHOOL: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10095 of Hilliard proudly announce winners of the Patriot Pen Essay writing competition
Each year, nearly 68,800 students in grades 6-8 across the nation enter the VFW’s Patriot’s Pen youth essay contest for a chance to win their share of more than $1.4 million in state and national awards.
