ACADEMY PREP CENTER OF LAKELAND: Our Chess Team kicked off spring break by placing 2nd in the state at the Florida Scholastic Chess Championship in Orlando!
Our K-8 team members who competed include Malachi (who tied for 10th overall), Jayden J., Kimora, Yariel, Daxton, Kayiona, and Natalie.

Brennan '22 and Chrisette '22 both now attend boarding schools in Virginia, and are home this week during their Spring Break.

ACADEMY PREP CENTER OF LAKELAND: It's been two weeks since Evening of Stars, our fundraising gala supporting our Student Scholarship Fund, and we are still buzzing with excitement!
Thank you to all the sponsors and guests who made the event a huge success, to our students and faculty for providing engaging classroom experiences, to our student and alumni speakers for sharing their stories, and to our chorus for entertaining and moving performances.

ACADEMY PREP CENTER OF LAKELAND: Earlier this month some of our APL students attended the award ceremony for the Polk County Regional Science Fair. Please join us in congratulating our winners!
Daryeliz Torres received 1st place in Jr. Microbiology. She qualified to compete at the State Science Fair and is also invited to compete at the Thermo Fisher Scientific Engineering Challenge. Her project was about decreasing gas pump bacteria.
