Academy Prep Center Of Lakeland issued the following announcement on Mar. 20.
Our Chess Team kicked off spring break by placing 2nd in the state at the Florida Scholastic Chess Championship in Orlando! Our K-8 team members who competed include Malachi (who tied for 10th overall), Jayden J., Kimora, Yariel, Daxton, Kayiona, and Natalie. Congratulations to our Chess Team!
