Congressman Greg Steube, who represents Florida's 17th congressional district, published a series of statements on August 8, 2025, addressing topics ranging from U.S. national security to air travel regulations.

In a post made at 15:35 UTC, Steube referenced commentary by Mark Levin regarding alleged actions by the Obama administration. He wrote, "Thank you to @marklevinshow for detailing the Obama administration’s lawfare against President Trump. Their weaponization of the intelligence community at the highest levels of our government was nothing short of high treason.

Every American should demand justice for this attack" (August 8, 2025).

An hour later, Steube addressed concerns about foreign visitors attending United Nations meetings in the United States. In his statement at 16:30 UTC, he said, "No person who chants 'Death to America' should be allowed free rein when visiting the United States for U.N. meetings.

My Limiting Extremist Travel to the United Nations Act makes sure only American allies and good faith partners in the international community are permitted" (August 8, 2025). The proposed legislation aims to restrict entry into the country for individuals deemed hostile or extremist during diplomatic events.

Later that day at 17:42 UTC, Steube turned his attention to airline procedures affecting travelers and their families. He stated, "Helping a loved one catch their flight shouldn’t come with unnecessary obstacles and bureaucratic roadblocks.

That’s why I have introduced the AIRFARE Act to make sure airlines and airport personnel use common sense when assisting caregivers and family members who are" (August 8, 2025). The act seeks to reduce bureaucratic hurdles faced by caregivers and relatives assisting passengers during air travel.

The posts reflect Congressman Steube's legislative focus on national security issues as well as efforts to streamline domestic travel policies. As a member of Congress representing constituents in Florida's southwest region since January 2019, Steube has frequently commented on matters related to government oversight and public safety.
