Congressman Greg Steube, who represents Florida's 17th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, recently posted a series of tweets addressing topics ranging from national security and education funding to charitable sports events.

On August 4, 2025, Steube commented on ongoing investigations related to the so-called "Russiagate" controversy. In his post, he stated: " Great news. We are one step closer to holding accountable the Deep State actors who concocted the Russiagate hoax.

Conspiring to topple an incoming president by weaponizing the intelligence community is a treasonous crime. Throw the book at everyone involved." This tweet reflects Steube's continued criticism of federal agencies' roles in past political investigations.

The following day, August 5, 2025, Steube issued a challenge to The Savannah Bananas baseball team via Twitter regarding an upcoming charity event. He wrote: "Alright @TheSavBananas, let’s see if you can handle the five-in-a-row Congressional Baseball Game champs.

You bring the tricks, we’ll bring the heat. Maybe I’ll even wear the cowboy hat on the mound.

Winner donates all proceeds to the charity of their choice.

What do you say," signaling an intent for friendly competition with philanthropic aims.

Later that same day, Steube addressed concerns about foreign influence in higher education funding. He tweeted: "No college in America should be financially tied to foreign governments, especially those that are hostile to our values.

As the new school year approaches, transparency and accountability in university funding have never been more critical. That is why I have joined with" highlighting his stance on increased scrutiny and oversight regarding financial ties between American colleges and foreign entities.

These statements come as debates over government accountability and educational integrity remain prominent issues within U.S. political discourse. Calls for greater transparency in university funding have grown amid concerns about potential undue influence from countries considered adversarial or having conflicting interests with American policies.
