Congressman Greg Steube criticizes education spending and comments on national issues

Congressman Greg Steube, representing Florida's 17th district since 2019, recently shared his views on various national issues through a series of tweets. Steube, who succeeded Tom Rooney in Congress and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, has been vocal about education reform, immigration policies, and national security matters.

On March 24, 2025, Steube expressed criticism towards the Department of Education. He stated: "Make America’s Schools Great Again. The Department of Education has spent more than $3 trillion since its founding with nothing to show for it. Enough with the incompetence. Abolish the Department of Education and restore our schools to the states and parents again."

Later that day, he commented on Senator Bernie Sanders' stance on immigration: "So now Bernie Sanders is finally admitting illegal immigration is a problem? Took him long enough—just over nine million border encounters too late. Funny how Democrats called Trump 'radical' for enforcing the law, but when their most left-wing senator starts echoing him, it’s"

On March 25, 2025, Steube turned his attention to foreign policy and military actions involving President Trump: "While Joe Biden played possum on Rehoboth beach, President Trump is taking the fight to the Houthis. The Houthis have launched more than 300 attacks on U.S. warships and commercial vessels since 2003. Secretary Hegseth, NSA Waltz, and the entire Trump administration formulated"
