Emphasizing the need for prioritizing veterans over what he termed "radical fringe ideologies," Steube thanked the president for focusing on real care for veterans.

The following day, March 20, 2025, marked the anniversary of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Steube commemorated this by highlighting the courage and sacrifice of those who served. In his tweet, he reminded followers that "Today marks the 22nd anniversary of Operation Iraqi Freedom—a reminder of the courage and sacrifice of the men and women who answered the call to serve." He called for continued recognition of their dedication to defending liberty.

Later on March 20, Steube addressed educational reform in light of an executive order by President Trump. Advocating for legislative action aligned with Trump's decision, he stated that "President Trump’s executive order was a great first step." He urged Congress to abolish the Department of Education completely.
