On March 16, 2025, Congressman Steube expressed gratitude towards former President Trump and President Bukele for their firm stance against criminal illegal immigrants and terrorists. He acknowledged a deal secured by the Trump administration with El Salvador to extradite and imprison members of the Tren de Aragua gang. In his tweet, he stated: "Thank you, President Trump and President Bukele, for taking a zero-tolerance approach to criminal illegal immigrants and terrorists."

The following day, on March 17, 2025, Steube commented on corporate policies related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). He criticized DEI initiatives as being more about political power than genuine diversity or merit. According to him: "DEI was never about diversity or merit; it was a left-wing power grab." He noted that companies are now adjusting their practices as DEI is disappearing from annual reports.
