Congressman Greg Steube, representing Florida's 17th district, has been vocal on social media regarding his stance on various funding initiatives and USAID. Steube, who has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Tom Rooney, expressed his views through a series of tweets.

On February 7, 2025, Congressman Steube highlighted the allocation of funds to international initiatives. He stated that "$185,000 paid out in 2023 to feminist and diversity initiatives in Belize."

In another tweet from the same day, Steube pointed out financial support for advocacy efforts abroad. He noted that "$209,000 in 2022 to fund a U.S. study tour on LGBT advocacy in South Korea."

Later that day, Congressman Steube shared his legislative intentions concerning USAID. He tweeted: "Amen. It’s time to scrap USAID. My bill will do just that."
