On December 12, 2024, Congressman Steube announced the signing into law of H.R. 5863, The Federal Disaster Tax Relief Act. He expressed enthusiasm about this bipartisan legislation that includes provisions he championed to aid Floridians in recovery and rebuilding efforts following recent hurricanes. "I’m excited to share that H.R. 5863, The Federal Disaster Tax Relief Act, has finally been signed into law! This bipartisan legislation includes key disaster relief provisions I championed to help Floridians recover and rebuild."

On December 13, 2024, Steube further elaborated on the implications of his legislation for Floridians affected by natural disasters. He emphasized the financial relief available through tax deductions for hurricane expenses and other federally declared disasters as part of the new law. "Floridians know all too well how natural disasters can devastate communities and drain their pocketbooks. Help is on the way."

Later on December 13, Congressman Steube extended birthday wishes to the National Guard while acknowledging its longstanding commitment to national defense since its inception in 1636.
