Congressman Greg Steube, representing Florida's 17th district, shared a series of tweets addressing various issues. The posts ranged from disaster recovery resources for farmers to reflections on historical events and critiques of institutional decisions regarding sports.
On December 6, 2024, Congressman Steube informed constituents about disaster recovery resources available for farmers and agricultural producers affected by Hurricanes Milton, Helene, and Debby. He mentioned that "Farmers and Ag producers impacted by Hurricanes Milton, Helene, and Debby can access disaster recovery resources at Farm Recovery Centers in Lee and Polk County." The centers are located at the Polk County Stuart Center on December 9 and North Fort Myers Recreation Center on December 11, operating from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In another tweet dated December 7, 2024, Congressman Steube commemorated the anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack. He stated that "On December 7, 1941; 2,403 Americans lost their lives in the attack on Pearl Harbor... Today we pause to honor the bravery of those who served and sacrificed..." emphasizing remembrance of those who served during World War II.
Later that day, Steube expressed his views on fairness in girls' sports. He criticized a major pediatric group for not supporting what he considers fairness in these sports. In his words: "The largest pediatric group refusing to support fairness in girls’ sports shows how deeply they’ve bowed to leftist dogma." He further commented that this stance is an affront to truth and justice for women and girls in America.
