Congressman Greg Steube, representing Florida's 17th district, has been active on social media discussing various issues and opportunities. His recent tweets address topics ranging from local community efforts to legislative initiatives and internship opportunities.

On November 18, 2024, Congressman Steube highlighted the efforts of Sarasota County in storm debris collection. He stated that "Sarasota County has collected over 1.17 million cubic yards of storm debris in the past 30 days." He expressed gratitude towards county workers for their dedication to rebuilding communities and noted substantial progress in debris removal on Manasota Key.

The following day, November 19, 2024, he announced an opportunity for students to gain experience in Congress through a spring internship program. He invited applicants by stating "Join my team on Capitol Hill and gain invaluable experience working in Congress." This initiative aims to provide insight into the legislative process while serving Florida’s 17th District.

Later on November 19, Congressman Steube introduced new legislation called the FEMA for America First Act. He explained that this act is designed to restrict certain noncitizens from receiving FEMA benefits. In his words, "I introduced the FEMA for America First Act to prevent parolees who are noncitizens and asylees/refugees who are not in the process of becoming Lawful Permanent Residents (green card status) from being eligible for FEMA benefits." He criticized the current administration's policies regarding this issue.
