City Of Sarasota, Fl issued the following announcement on Jan. 23.
Have household hazardous waste items you'd like to dispose of properly and easily?
Load up your unwanted items and take them to our household hazardous waste collection event Saturday, Feb. 4 from 8 a.m. to noon at 1699 Morrill St.
Please note: You must be a Sarasota County resident to participate in this event hosted by the City of Sarasota and Sarasota County.
Household items that will be accepted:
* Adhesives and glues
* Aerosols
* Antifreeze
* Automotive products
* Cleaners
* Electronics
* Fertilizers
* Fluorescent lamps
* Gasoline
* Household fire extinguishers
* Mercury
* Motor oil
* Oil filters
* Paint
* Pesticides
* Pool chemicals
* Propane cylinders
* Rechargeable batteries
* Solvent and thinners
* Vehicle batteries
No commercial or organizational waste will be accepted.
