County Of Sarasota issued the following announcement on Oct. 01.
Thank you to all the Sarasota County employees and Florida National Guard who gathered Oct. 1 at Twin Lakes Park to distribute water, meals-ready-to-eat (MREs) and ice to those impacted by Hurricane Ian. More supplies will be provided at neighborhood points of distribution as they become available.
