CITY OF VENICE: The City of Venice is in the process of installing yellow boundary striping within the Calle de las Tiendas alleyway downtown

Road1

City Of Venice issued the following announcement on Feb 15.

The City of Venice is in the process of installing yellow boundary striping within the Calle de las Tiendas alleyway downtown. This alleyway runs east to west behind the downtown Venice shops, between W. Venice Ave. and Miami Ave. The new yellow striping marks the limits of the City ownership for the 20-foot-wide public alleyway. Parking will not be permitted within the 20-foot alleyway and “No Parking” signage has been added throughout the alleyway.

Please be advised that the Venice Police Department will be enforcing these parking restrictions within the alleyway. This new boundary striping and the signage will help ensure the 20-foot alleyway width remains open and unobstructed. Keeping the full alley width unobstructed is important for Fire Department emergency access and supply delivery vehicles, as well as overall access safety for the alleyway.

Unless specifically noticed as public parking, the areas outside of the yellow markings are privately owned property and any parking in this area is at the discretion of the property owner. The 200 and 300 blocks are currently completed and the 100 block will be completed by the end of the week.
