City Of North Port issued the following announcement on Nov. 01.
November is World Recycling Month. Throughout the month, we’re going to bring you some fun facts about recycling and the positive impact it can have on the environment, in North Port and beyond.
Did you know that recycling 1 ton of cardboard saves roughly 46 gallons of oil? Over the last year, Solid Waste collected over 3,600 tons of cardboard. That’s over 165,000 gallons of oil saved just here in North Port!
