City Of Sarasota issued the following announcement on Sep. 21.
STAFF RECOGNITION – Congratulations to the entire Solid Waste team within the Public Works Department for being honored as the Team of the Month during the City Commission meeting last night. This diverse team of 45+ employees has gained a commendable reputation for building relationships with residents and going above and beyond to provide to quality customer service. It’s not unusual for residents to take the time and contact us to praise Solid Waste employees for their exemplary work.
We appreciate their commitment to getting the job done with excellence and pride! Special recognition went to Todd Ashbacher and Michael Wemmel who were caught in an act of kindness recently helping a distressed senior citizen cross the street. Well done!
