City Of North Port issued the following announcement on Aug. 26.
A testing site at Dallas White Park in North Port is open for walk-up appointments. Testing is offered 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. They close from 12-12:30 p.m. for lunch.
If you are in line at 4 p.m., they will still test you. A photo ID is required to be on hand. Testing is free, PCR and Rapid Antigen tests will be available.
To accommodate testing staff, the pavilion at Dallas White Pack is closed off to the public. Staff is sanitizing daily at the park.
