City Of North Port issued the following announcement on Aug. 10.
On Tuesday afternoon, Commission voted 4-1 to begin contract negotiations with Jerome Fletcher as the potential new North Port City Manager. This comes after a days-long comprehensive interview process with the two candidates.
Most recently, Mr. Fletcher has served as an Assistant Chief Administrative Officer for Montgomery County, Maryland since 2019. In total, he has had more than 20 years of government experience. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Phoenix.
