Frontier Communications installing conduit for a fiber optic expansion project:
Frontier Communications crews started installing conduit for a fiber optic expansion project in the North Biscayne Drive neighborhood, north of I-75. Crews will be working within the right-of-way around the swale, installing small 12”x12" in-ground utility boxes and conduit pipe. Crews may be digging small trenches for the conduit and directional boring under roadways and driveways. Public Works staff will be inspecting the work as needed and overseeing the restoration of the right-of-way.
Frontier working in N. Salford neighborhood:
Frontier Communications crews have started fiber optic work on both sides of North Salford Boulevard, between Langtree Avenue and Lorton Avenue. Work will take several weeks to complete. Please use caution in the area, as crews will be working in the right-of-way.
Bike Lanes being constructed on S. Biscayne:
Construction has started for the bicycle lanes being added on South Biscayne Drive, between Elyton Drive and Glenallen Boulevard. Crews are working on the base material along Biscayne Drive for the new bike lanes. The bicycle lanes will be seven feet wide and constructed on both sides of the roadway. The project is funded through a grant from the Federal Highway Administration.
