City of Venice issued the following announcement on Aug. 20
Contractor Willis Smith has finished the selective demolition work on the east side of the existing Venice City Hall. Crews are continuing to haul and compact clean fill for the new building pad, which will support the foundations for both the new Fire Station 1 and the City Hall expansion. They are working on Harbor Drive southbound, adjacent to City Hall, where they are installing new street parking improvements and sidewalks in this location. Finally, they are working to install new stormwater pipes and grade the ponds on the north side of City Hall.
