City of Venice issued the following announcement on July 24
The contractor for the Venice Fire Station 1/City Hall Expansion project has begun work along the north side of City Hall, where the stormwater retention ponds are being reshaped and expanded. These ponds will be providing the water treatment and pollutant removal for the new Fire Station and the City Hall Expansion. Next week, the contractor will continue the pond grading work on the north side of City Hall and will begin selective demolition of the existing colonnade structure that is located adjacent to the City Manager’s and Cashier’s offices. They are also planning to start hauling fill next week to begin building the foundation pad for the new structures.
