Congressman Greg Steube, who represents Florida's 17th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, has recently used his social media platform to address a range of issues including election integrity, the aftermath of investigations into Russian interference in U.S. elections, and veteran outreach.

On August 1, 2025, Steube emphasized the importance of safeguarding American elections from foreign involvement. He stated, "Election integrity starts with preventing and eliminating any and all foreign interference. Only U.S. organizations and citizens should be involved in administering our elections. That’s why I introduced legislation today prohibiting federal election agencies from entering data" (August 1, 2025).

The following day, Steube commented on developments related to the investigation commonly referred to as "Russiagate." He wrote, "Thanks to @DNIGabbard and @FBIDirectorKash, the American people are quickly realizing the full scale of the Russiagate hoax. Obama administration officials perpetuated a lie about Trump to topple his presidency. Their excuses and cover-up are no longer working." (August 2, 2025).

On August 3, 2025, Steube turned his attention to veterans in his district by promoting participation in a national oral history project: "Calling all Veterans in Florida’s 17th District: if you haven’t yet participated in the Veterans History Project, make sure you don’t miss out on this opportunity to share your story of service with your fellow citizens." (August 3, 2025).

Steube has been active on legislative matters concerning election security and has consistently advocated for measures that restrict foreign influence in federal electoral processes. His comments regarding investigations into Russian interference reflect ongoing debates about the legitimacy and impact of such inquiries within American political discourse.

The Veterans History Project is an initiative by the Library of Congress aimed at collecting and preserving personal accounts from U.S. military veterans for historical research and public education.
