Congressman Greg Steube, who represents Florida's 17th district in the U.S. House of Representatives, has recently shared a series of opinions on social media covering education policy, media coverage of national events, and international trade developments.

On July 27, 2025, Steube addressed his views on school choice and the involvement of global organizations in education. He wrote: "This is exactly why school choice is so important. The same union boss who locked kids out of classrooms during COVID is now teaming up with the World Economic Forum to rewrite what they’re taught. Parents, not deranged global elites, should decide what goes into our children’s".

The following day, Steube criticized the coverage priorities of a major news outlet. On July 28, 2025, he posted: "Someone explain to me why @USATODAY is giving more coverage in this story to a failed cabinet secretary than the heroic Marine who took down a terrorist? No mention that the Marine was a concealed carry holder. No mention that he served his country. And no mention that he was a".

Later on July 28, Steube commented on recent U.S.-EU trade negotiations and praised former President Donald Trump’s leadership in these matters: "America keeps on winning. This deal is great for our country. For far too long, the EU enjoyed a trade surplus with the U.S. to the detriment of our workers. Finally, we have a leader in President Trump who is restoring balance and fairness to our trade policy."

School choice remains a topic of debate across party lines in the United States, with proponents arguing it provides parents more control over their children's education while critics warn it may divert funds from public schools. The World Economic Forum has faced criticism from some U.S. lawmakers for its influence on educational standards and policies globally.

Media coverage of military or law enforcement incidents often draws scrutiny regarding focus and narrative framing. Disputes over which aspects are emphasized can reflect broader disagreements about values and priorities in American society.

Trade relations between the United States and European Union have experienced fluctuations over recent years due to ongoing negotiations around tariffs and market access. Former President Trump made renegotiating international trade deals central to his administration’s economic agenda.
