Congressman Greg Steube, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida, published a series of posts on July 23, 2025, alleging that Russian intelligence possessed compromising information regarding former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s health and suggesting broader implications about the origins of the “Russiagate” investigation.

In one post, Steube wrote: (5/8): What was this “remarkable” compromising dirt on Hillary Clinton in Putin’s possession? It turns out the SVR had in its possession evidence that the former Sec. of State required “heavy tranquilizers” for “intensified psycho-emotional problems, including uncontrolled fits https://t.co/yFVJpHQHWF (July 23, 2025).

He continued by stating: (6/8): The SVR also had intel indicating Clinton suffered from “Type 2 diabetes, Ischemic heart disease, deep vein thrombosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.”

Clinton’s health problems were so severe that U.S. allies in Europe were alarmed by the possibility of her https://t.co/FdRc359Re8 (July 23, 2025).

In his concluding remarks within the thread, Steube claimed: (8/8): This report proves that Russiagate was nothing more than a conspiracy by Obama administration officials to weaponize the intelligence community against the incoming president. All they had were lies and falsehoods. And they still tried to take down President Trump. The DOJ (July 23, 2025).

These statements reference long-standing political controversies surrounding allegations of Russian interference in U.S. elections and claims made during investigations into connections between Russia and associates of former President Donald Trump. Congressman Steube has previously been vocal about his views regarding alleged misuse of government agencies during past administrations.
