Congressman Greg Steube, representing Florida's 17th district, recently shared his views on several topics through social media. Steube, who has been a member of the U.S. Congress since 2019 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, commented on national security measures, reconciliation efforts, and historical commemorations.

On June 5, 2025, Congressman Steube expressed his support for President Trump's travel ban. He stated that as a member of the House Intelligence Committee, he believes "President Trump’s travel ban is a smart, targeted step to keep America safe." He emphasized the issue of visa overstays and how enemies have exploited this system. According to him, the travel ban is fundamentally about national security.

Later that day, Steube addressed ongoing disputes with a succinct call for peace. He posted "This feud calls for…reconciliation." Though brief, this message suggests a desire for resolving conflicts through dialogue.

On June 6, 2025, Congressman Steube commemorated the anniversary of D-Day by honoring the bravery of American soldiers during World War II. He noted that "thousands of brave Americans stormed the beaches of Normandy to liberate Europe from tyranny." His message highlighted their courage and its impact on history and freedom.

Greg Steube was born in Bradenton, Florida in 1978 and currently resides in Sarasota. A graduate of the University of Florida with both a BS (2000) and JD (2003), he succeeded Tom Rooney in representing Florida's 17th district.
