Congressman Greg Steube, representing Florida’s 17th district, recently shared several statements via social media. His posts reflect his appreciation for law enforcement, gratitude for the safe return of an American citizen, and pride in announcing appointments to military academies.

On May 12, Congressman Steube expressed his gratitude during National Police Week by acknowledging the dedication of law enforcement officers. He stated: "This National Police Week I want to thank the brave men and women in law enforcement who put their lives on the line to keep our communities safe. Your courage, integrity, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed."

The following day, on May 13, he celebrated the return of Edan Alexander, an American citizen from Tenafly, New Jersey. Steube credited former President Trump for this achievement: "Praise be to God. American citizen Edan Alexander is home. His community in Tenafly, New Jersey, woke up at the crack of dawn to witness his release. Thank God for President Trump’s leadership in bringing Edan home."

Later that same day, Congressman Steube announced appointments of nine students from Florida's 17th District to military academies. He emphasized their commitment and service: "It was an honor to announce the appointment of 9 outstanding students from Florida’s 17th District to our nation’s prestigious military academies. These young men and women chose a path of discipline, sacrifice, and service; and our country is better for it."

Greg Steube has been serving in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Tom Rooney. Prior to his current role, he served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 until 2016.
