Rep. Greg Steube discusses constitutional rights, invites followers and praises economic growth

Congressman Greg Steube, currently representing Florida's 17th district in the U.S. Congress, made a series of public statements on May 2, 2025, through social media addressing various subjects including his stance on freedom of speech, an invitation to a broadcast, and comments on the economic state under President Trump's administration.

On May 2, 2025, Steube emphasized his commitment to defending constitutional rights in a tweet, saying, "Serving in uniform to defend our Constitution was my greatest honor—including the right to assemble and protest. I disagree with these protestors, but I’ll always defend their freedom to speak."

Later the same day, Steube encouraged his followers to watch an upcoming event in a tweet, stating, "Be sure to tune in!"

Steube also expressed confidence in economic growth under the current administration on May 2, 2025. In his tweet, he remarked, "President Trump delivers again. America’s job market outperforms expectations thanks to strong leadership in the White House. Now we must secure our prosperity by passing ONE, BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL. Let’s get it done."

Greg Steube, born in 1978 in Bradenton, Florida, holds a BS and JD from the University of Florida. Since 2019, he has served in the U.S. Congress, following his tenure in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. He currently resides in Sarasota.
