Congressman Greg Steube shared a series of messages on his official social media account concerning several matters of interest. As a representative of Florida’s 17th district, Steube often discusses community events and legislative issues pertinent to his constituency.
On April 10, 2025, he posted an invitation for artists to engage with an initiative, encouraging participation with the statement, "Learn more and submit your work here." A link was provided for further details on the submission process.
In a post made the same day, Steube addressed high school artists from Florida's 17th district. He announced the "deadline to submit your piece for the 2025 Congressional Art Competition is April 17." He highlighted the opportunity for their art to be showcased in the U.S. Capitol, emphasizing the importance of representing local talent on a national platform.
Later that afternoon, Steube commented on a legislative issue, noting that "208 Members of Congress just voted against requiring proof of U.S. citizenship to vote in federal elections." He criticized this decision, questioning the dedication of those members to protecting democracy and suggesting they favored non-citizens over American voters.
Greg Steube has been Florida's 17th district representative since replacing Tom Rooney in 2019. He held a Florida House of Representatives seat from 2010 to 2016. Born in Bradenton in 1978 and now residing in Sarasota, Steube is a University of Florida graduate with both a Bachelor of Science and a Juris Doctor.
