In a tweet dated April 1, 2025, Steube emphasized the importance of removing politics from military matters. "As someone who served, this is a step in the right direction. Politics has no place in our military. The only thing that matters is who can lead and perform on the battlefield. We need warriors who meet the highest standards."

On April 2, 2025, Congressman Steube clarified his stance on a recent legislative vote through another tweet. He stated, "Don’t buy the BS. My ‘no’ vote was about process—not whether new parents should be able to proxy vote. I voted against a rule bill that undermined a Member’s right to utilize the discharge petition—a century-old tool that empowers individual Members to force a vote when."

Later the same day, Steube commented on immigration, claiming a significant decrease in illegal crossings into California. He credited the decline to President Trump's enforcement of immigration laws, saying, "Illegal crossings into California are down 70 percent because President Trump is enforcing our immigration laws. Migrant camps are empty. Even the aid groups have left because no one is coming through. When we treat the border crisis like the national security threat it is, we."
