On March 7, 2025, Congressman Steube criticized House Democrats for supporting what he described as "the largest tax hike in American history." He stated that if their proposal were enacted, it would negatively impact millions of Americans: "40 million families would see their Child Tax Credit slashed in half," while "26 million small businesses would face a crippling 43.4% tax hike," potentially putting "6 million jobs" at risk.

In another tweet dated March 8, 2025, Steube expressed discontent with the Democratic response to fiscal policy changes under President Trump. On March 9, 2025, Congressman Steube highlighted his long-standing efforts to stop U.S. financial support to Lebanon's military due to its association with Hezbollah. He criticized bipartisan opposition in Washington for not supporting these measures and introduced his PAGER Act as a solution: "If they fund terrorists, they get NOTHING."
