Congressman Greg Steube, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 17th district since 2019, recently took to social media to express his intent to abolish the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Steube replaced former Congressman Tom Rooney and has previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016.

On February 7, 2025, Congressman Steube expressed gratitude towards Rep. Ralph Norman for cosponsoring his bill aimed at abolishing USAID. He stated: "Thank you, @RepRalphNorman, for cosponsoring my bill to abolish USAID. American tax dollars should serve Americans—not fund the radical far left agenda."

In another tweet posted on the same day, Steube thanked Rep. Andy Biggs for supporting his initiative against USAID. He noted: "Thank you, @RepAndyBiggsAZ, for standing with me to eliminate USAID. This agency has become a reckless tool and wastes billions while Americans struggle. Let’s end it."

Further expressing his stance on February 7, 2025, Congressman Steube acknowledged Rep. Luna's support by stating: "Thank you, @RepLuna, for cosponsoring my legislation to abolish USAID. Americans should not be forced to bankroll leftist foreign agendas."
