Cooper City issued the following announcement on Aug. 26.
August is Water Quality Month and as a nod to our quality water, we go back to March 17, 2006. On this day, we dedicated the City's utility plant in fond memory of George A. Haughney, who served as the City's utility director and engineer for 20 years. He integrated two separate utility plants into a single, state-of-the-art system that provides our customers with high-quality, reliable water and wastewater services.
