HOME RULE HEROES - Congratulations to our Home Rule Heroes! Commissioner Jen Ahearn-Koch and Governmental Relations Manager Stevie Freeman-Montes were honored with the Florida League of Cities, Inc. 2022 Home Rule Award for their community advocacy leading up to and during the 2022 state legislative session.
Home Rule allows for local decision-making with minimal state interference. The awards were presented recently during the Manasota League of Cities meeting on Longboat Key. Bravo -- and thank you!
