City Of North Port issued the following announcement on May 22.
North Port Social Services Division, with the support of NPPD Community Policing Unit, has established the “Little Snack Pantry,” an initiative to address the immediate needs of those in crisis or homeless situations.
The pantry will supply our outreach personnel with ready-to-eat food and hygiene items for first contact with adults and children who find themselves in dire situations. The Little Snack Pantry is seeking donations to fully stock this resource. If you or your organization would like to make a donation, please contact Social Services at 941-429-3700.
The items needed are listed below:
• Fruit Cups
• Granola Bars
• Peanut Butter Crackers
• Beef Jerky
• Juice Boxes
• Water
• Hygiene Products:
o Socks
o Underwear
o Deodorant (travel size)
o Toothbrush (travel size)
o Toothpaste (travel size)
o Hand Sanitizer
o Feminine Hygiene Products
o Toilet Paper
o Combs
