County Of Sarasota recently issued the following announcement.
#SRQCountyUtilities crews responded to a call yesterday about water flowing up from the ground near Palmer Ranch Parkway and Honore Avenue.
Staff discovered the cause was a slowly leaking reclaimed water valve. The team was able to adjust the valve and stop the leak.
Approximately 25 gallons of fully-treated reclaimed water was recovered. Reclaimed water is often used to water landscaping and golf courses. To learn more about reclaimed water, visit https://www.scgov.net/.../wastewater-division/-fsiteid-1...
No water bodies were affected, and no sampling is necessary. Repairs will be scheduled as time allows and clean-up is proceeding per protocol.
