City Of Sarasota issued the following announcement on Mar. 21.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION - The City Commission on Monday recognized local engineer Steve Suau for his work to design and improve the drainage and stormwater runoff cleansing system for the bayou in Phase 1 of The Bay Park at Van Wezel Way.
Mr. Suau has also been recognized by the Sarasota Soil & Water Conservation District for many other contributions during his career, including facilitating the use of the City's reclaimed water for Lakewood Ranch, researching and improving the health of the water in Sarasota County's Myakka River and work on flood prevention at the Celery Fields.
