Good evening McIntosh Middle Families, this is your Proud Principal McHenry Lerebours with some important announcements.
I hope you enjoyed your summer and spent some quality time with family and friends.
Student/Parent welcome back letters were mailed early last week. Please review your letter, as there is important information regarding the start of the school year.
6th grade students and 7th and 8th grade students who are new to McIntosh Middle School this year are welcomed to attend Orientation on Thursday August 5th. 6th grade orientation will be from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm and orientation for new 7th and 8th grade students will be from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Please limit the number of families members that you decide to bring with your student, as we still have to maintain social distancing protocols as much as possible.
When you arrive, you will have an opportunity to meet the McIntosh Administrative staff and view a short presentation in the cafetorium. Then, students will pick up their schedules in the gymnasium. Schedules will have their first period teacher listed so they know where to report the first day of school to receive their full schedule of classes.
All returning students can access their schedule on the Family Access Portal on Thursday August 5th. Returning 7th and 8th grade students do not have to come to orientation to pick up their schedule. All students will have an opportunity to meet and greet their teachers during open house. Open house is tentatively scheduled for September 9th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
That is all for now! Welcome to a new school year, McIntosh Eagles! I look forward to seeing all of you next Tuesday August 10th. Remember, we are committed to excellence and destined for greatness. We Dream it ! Believe it! and Achieve it!
Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your evening
