Wreaths Across America 2020
Saturday 19th December 2020
Join SMA in showing our appreciation for the thousands of veterans laid to rest at the Sarasota National Cemetery. The wreath laying ceremony embraces honor and respect for our uniformed service veterans.
There are nearly 18,000 gravesites that need to be covered with a sponsored wreath at the Sarasota National Cemetery. The SMA family does its best to cover as many sites with a wreath as possible through the Wreaths Across America program. Not only does the program honor our veterans, it is also a cadet-driven program where our young people take the lead and experience service learning first hand.
Dec. 17th- Wreath laying for families with grave specifics only from 8am-1pm.
Dec. 18th & 19th- Public invited to place wreaths from 8am-5:15pm (registration required)
Dec. 19th- Virtual Ceremony (times TBA)
*A link will be provided after November 1st to register as a volunteer to lay wreaths.
