Congressman Greg Steube, who represents Florida's 17th congressional district, posted a series of statements on his social media account on October 21, 2025. The posts addressed issues ranging from immigration enforcement to Second Amendment rights and concerns about education.

In a post made at 2:56 a.m. UTC, Steube commented on recent immigration actions in his region: "Every town is a border town. Even Sarasota.

Thank you @Sec_Noem and @DHSgov for visiting Florida’s Suncoast this morning to announce the deportations of several criminal aliens in our area and to highlight the Trump administration’s continued efforts to protect our communities https://t.co/w3TbEoUh1M" (October 21, 2025).

Later that day, at 1:22 p.m. UTC, Steube criticized what he described as legal tactics against constitutional rights: "Once again, the left is using lawfare to erase the Constitution. Apparently, @NewJerseyOAG Matt Platkin missed the part in law school that covers the 2nd Amendment.

Our constitutional right to bear arms is non-negotiable. I stand with millions of other gun owners to support https://t.co/RWXiRNy22k" (October 21, 2025).

At 6:09 p.m. UTC on the same day, Steube expressed concern over political violence and educational content in schools: "The left not only applauds political violence. They are indoctrinating their youth with it.

If it wasn’t bad enough that our children are exposed to CRT and transgenderism in school, now parents must worry about their sons and daughters being taught to use weapons violently https://t.co/TXja4ukLWO" (October 21, 2025).

Congressman Greg Steube has previously focused his legislative efforts on border security and Second Amendment protections. His district includes parts of southwest Florida such as Sarasota County.
