Congressman Greg Steube, a U.S. Representative from Florida, published several posts on his social media account on October 8, 2025, addressing topics ranging from intelligence reports to Senate procedures and a visit to the White House.

In his first post of the day, Steube commented on a declassified intelligence document, writing on October 8, 2025: "This declassified CIA report is the smoking gun unmasking the Biden crime family’s racket.   This document reveals that in 2015, both the CIA and Ukrainian officials were alarmed by the crooked business dealings of then-Vice President Biden’s family. Biden tried to bury this https://t.co/LUoN2bb2n1".

Later that day, Steube turned his attention to Senate procedures and government funding, posting on October 8, 2025: "If we can lift the 60-vote threshold in the Senate to confirm President Trump’s nominees, why can’t Senate Republicans do the same to fund the government?  @LeaderJohnThune, it’s time to put Chuck Schumer in his place so we can reopen the federal government.  America didn’t elect".

In a third post, Steube expressed gratitude for a visit at the White House, writing on October 8, 2025: "Thanks @JDVance for showing Jen and I around the West Wing! https://t.co/h4m8CPgb4p".

The reference to lifting the 60-vote threshold alludes to past changes in Senate rules, commonly known as the "nuclear option," which have allowed certain confirmations to proceed with a simple majority rather than a supermajority. This procedural change has been a point of debate during contentious legislative and confirmation battles.

Steube's remarks about alleged business dealings involving President Biden's family reflect ongoing partisan scrutiny and investigations into the business activities of Hunter Biden and other family members. These issues have been a focal point of political debate and inquiry for several years.

JD Vance, mentioned in Steube's third post, is a U.S. Senator from Ohio who has been active in national politics and is known for his association with conservative causes.
