Congressman Greg Steube, who represents Florida's 17th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing recent political developments and the balance of power in Congress.
On September 29, 2025, Steube posted two brief messages. The first read: "Let’s do it!" (September 29, 2025). Shortly after, he followed up with another post stating: "Amen!" (September 29, 2025).
The following day, on September 30, Steube published a longer statement addressing the ongoing budget negotiations and referencing party control in Washington. He wrote: "Democrats should not be able to hold the country hostage.
Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House. If @LeaderJohnThune could change the rules to confirm President Trump’s judges, then he can change the rules to keep the government open.
