Congressman Greg Steube, a U.S. Representative from Florida, has recently made several posts on his Twitter account addressing law enforcement actions and firearm legislation.

On September 16, 2025, Steube expressed appreciation for legal action taken by former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, writing: "Thank you! @AGPamBondi for enforcing the law! For far too long the radical left has normalized threats of violence and it’s time for that to end."

Later that day, he commented on a judicial decision regarding open carry laws: "The courts have confirmed what we’ve known all along: restrictions on open carry are unconstitutional. When I served in the Florida Senate, I filed legislation to allow licensed permit holders to open carry. With more than 40 states already permitting open carry, it’s good to".

On September 17, 2025, Steube posted a brief remark: "Good riddance!"

During his tenure in the Florida Senate prior to serving in Congress, Steube was known for sponsoring legislation related to firearms and gun rights. Open carry refers to the practice of visibly carrying a firearm in public; as of mid-2024, over 40 U.S. states have laws allowing some form of open carry with varying restrictions.

Pam Bondi served as Florida's Attorney General from 2011 to 2019 and was recognized for her focus on issues such as law enforcement and criminal justice reform.
