On September 15, 2025, he announced new legislative action related to disaster relief. In his post, Steube stated, "Today, I introduced legislation extending my Federal Disaster Tax Relief law. Millions of Floridians have already benefited from this bill as they rebuild from the last several hurricane seasons. It makes no sense to cut off that support for future natural disasters.
