On September 10, Steube expressed condolences regarding the death of Charlie Kirk, stating: "Charlie Kirk was a light in times of darkness and uncertainty, and his courage and faith left a lasting mark on so many. My heart breaks for Erika and his family as they mourn the loss of a husband, father, and son. I pray the Lord surrounds them with peace and comfort in this".
Later that evening, on September 11, Steube shared a tweet containing only a link: "https://t.co/CyjJSbaZZ2".
In another post on September 11, Steube called upon Christians to engage more actively in what he characterized as a significant struggle. He wrote: "https://t.co/6I1UFkPtt8
This is the real battle. I’m calling every believing Christian to start engaging in the true battle for our nation's soul. 'For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark".
Charlie Kirk was known as an American conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA. Congressman Greg Steube has been recognized for his public expressions of faith and frequent commentary on issues related to religion and national identity.
