Cardinal Mooney High School issued the following announcement on Oct. 19.
It is Homecoming Week at Cardinal Mooney and our football team is grinding in preparation for this Friday night's football game against Bishop Verot Catholic High School. We may be rivals, but our team felt the call to initiate an all-school donation drive to collect much-needed items for Verot players and students that have lost everything after Hurricane Ian devastated their hometown of Ft. Myers. Coaches and players filled a U-Haul with food, cleaning supplies, and personal items to deliver to Verot last weekend.
