City Of Sarasota issued the following announcement on Aug. 10.
RECYCLE THAT LINE! Check out the new monofilament recycling containers recently made by Sarasota Military Academy students, donated by the Sarasota Bay Estuary Program and installed by our Parks and Recreation Department - City of Sarasota staff! Look for them at three locations:
Ken Thompson Park
Tony Saprito Pier
Whitaker Gateway Park
Protect our shorebirds and sea life. Properly dispose of old fishing line! Thank you SMA and SBEP for collaboration.
