City Of Sarasota issued the following announcement on Apr. 16.
GIVING BACK - A team of 12 City employees volunteered last week at Mothers Helping Mothers, a Sarasota nonprofit that provides basic necessities such as clothing and baby items free of charge for area families. The all-volunteer organization operates a store where mothers can “shop” for these items at no cost. Our dozen employees spent time organizing donated clothing and home goods, welcoming customers to the store and helping them with their purchases.
The volunteer effort was part of United Way Suncoast's annual Week of Caring. We’re proud to give back and help strengthen our community!
