It includes 2 riding lessons (1 with saddles and 1 bareback lesson) and 2 in-hand horse activities where campers learn proper haltering, handling, and leading techniques. Campers will participate in farm science and nature-based activities including soil testing, birdwatching, and nature hikes. They'll also play outdoor games and at snack time work on horse-related worksheets, puzzles, and games from their personal folders. There will be time for crafts and art-related activities. The final day of camp will include an "in-hand" horse show where campers will guide their equine partners through a series of obstacles in the arena while parents and visitors watch all the fun and cheer them on. Campers will have the opportunity to make new friends, learn horse skills, spend time in nature, and have FUN with our horses and talented staff and volunteers.
