Cardinal Mooney High School issued the following announcement on Nov. 13.
Several of our student leaders had the opportunity to tour The Haven today. From there they enjoyed some coffee and beignets at Rise & Nye’s in Sarasota. The Haven is a 32 acre campus that offers programs and services for adults and children with disabilities.
They offer employment, housing, education and a variety of programs that enhance quality of life by encouraging independence and championing inclusion. Rise & Nye’s is a wonderful Coffee and Ice Cream shop located on 1534 State Street. They employ several of The Haven’s residents. It was an incredible experience for our students.
